Allocation/Reallocation of work/cases of Benami Transactions (Prohibition) Act, 1988

Allocation/Reallocation of work in respect of matters and cases relating to the Benami Transactions (Prohibition) Act, 1988 amongst CBDT members 

The Central Board of Direct Taxes has allocated/reallocated in respect of all matters and cases or classes of cases relating to the Benami Transactions (Prohibition) Act, 1988 and/or the Prohibition of Benami Property Transactions Act, 1988, as under :-

(a) All matters of Policy and Legislation relating to the Benami Transactions (Prohibition) Act, 1988 and/or the Prohibition of Benami Property Transactions Act, 1988 shall be considered by Member (Legislation), CBDT.

(b) All matters and cases or classes of cases relating to the Audit & Public Accounts Committee, Court Cases before High Courts and Supreme Court and appointment of counsels in respect of the Benami Transactions (Prohibition) Act, 1988 and/or the Prohibition of Benami Property Transactions Act, 1988, shall be considered by Member (A&J),

(c) All matters and cases or classes of cases relating to the Benami Transactions (Prohibition) Act, 1988 and/or the Prohibition of Benami Property Transactions Act, 1988, other than those mentioned in clause (A) and clause (b) above, shall be considered by Member (Investigation) , CBDT.
