ICAI debars seven chartered accountants for charges of professional misconduct

ICAI has held seven Chartered Accountants guilty of committing Professional Misconduct as defined in CA Regulations and has debarred them for prescribed period by ordering removal of their name from the register of members and also penalising them monetarily.

The details are as under:

CA Akshay Jain (Membership No. 241125), D No. 23-7-86, 2nd Floor, Shikar Darshan, Opposite Rao Bahadur Meda, Guntur 522003 (Andhra Pradesh) Name removed from the Register of Members for a consolidated period of 05 (Five) years and 01(one) month [05 (Five) years plus additional 01(One) month] with effect from 3rd January, 2025. Additional period of one month because the CA failed to pay fine of Rs. 5,00,000/- within 90 (ninety)
CA. Anand Kumar Jhunjhunwala (Membership No. 056613), 74/1, Narkeldanga, Road, Kolkata-700054 Name removed from the Register of Members for a consolidated period 03 (Three) years and 01(One) month [03 (Three) years plus additional 01 (One) month] with effect from 3rd January, 2025. Additional one month due to CA failed to pay the imposed fine within stipulated time.
CA. Ranjit Kumar Yadav (M. No. 525751), B-239 2nd Floor, West Vinod Nagar, Narwana Road, Delhi 110092 CA fined a penalty of Rs. 1 lakhs and name removed from the Register of Members for a period of 03 (Three) months with effect from 3rd January, 2025

CA Rahul Chillal (Membership No. 230503), 3rd Cross Mahatma, Basaveshwar Colony, Kalaburagi-585105 (Karnataka) Name removed from the Register of Members for a period of 60 (Sixty) days with effect from 3rd January, 2025.

Muni Kumar Gubiligari (Membership No. 234106), NO 18, Old No. 1612, 2nd Floor, East End Main Road, Jayanagar, 9th Block, Bengaluru- 560069 Name removed from the Register of Members for a consolidated period of 120(One Hundred Twenty) days [90 (Ninety) days plus additional 30 (Thirty) days] with effect from 3rd January, 2025.
CA Arunabha Chattopadhyay (Membership No. 058457), 74, Purbanchal Road, North, Beside Bidhan Road, Kolkata-700078 Name removed from the Register of Members for a consolidated period 03 (Three) months and 30 (Thirty) days [03 (Three) months plus additional 30 (Thirty) days] with effect from 3rd January, 2025. Additional 30 days due to CA failed to pay fine of Rs. 1 Lakhs
