Contribution to Swach Bharat Kosh and Clean Ganaga Fund to qualify as Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Activities under Schedule VII Companies Act 2013

NOTIFICATION

 

New Delhi, the 24 ^th October, 2014

 

G.S.R-(E) In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 467 of the Companies Act, 2013 (18 of 2013), the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendments to Schedule Vll of the said Act, namely:-

(i) In item (i), after the words "and sanitation", the words "including contribution to the Swach Bharat Kosh set-up by the Central Government for the promotion of sanitation" shall be inserted;

(ii) In item (iv), after the words "and water", the words "including contribution to the Clean Ganga Fund set-up by the Central Government for rejuvenation of river Ganga;" shall be inserted.

2.This notification shall come into force on the date of its publication in the official Gazette.

Note- The Schedule VII was brought into force with effect from 1st April, 2014 and was amended (effective from 1st April, 2014) vide notification number GSR 130(E) dated 27th February, 2014 and Corrigenda number GSR 261(E) dated 31 ^st March, 2014 and also vide amendment notification number GSR 568(E) dated 6th August, 2014.
