The Ministry of Corporate Affairs vide circular 42/2014 dated 12-11-214 had given an extension of time for filing of the notice of the appointment of cost auditor in electronic form CRA-2. The reason for the extension as stated in the said circular was delay in the availability of Form CRA-2 on the MCA website, Accordingly the due date was extended to 31-01-2015 without any penalty/late fee.

The circular assured that the electronic form CRA-2 shall be made available on the MCA website soon.

However, till now the said form has not been made available. Now MCA has again extended the due date from 31-01-2015 to 31-03-2015, the circular for extension (which is hereunder) does not mention the cause though.

In continuation to the General Circular No. 42/2014, the last date of filing of Form CRA-2 without any penalty/late fee is hereby extended upto 31 ^st March, 2015.
