No Extension of Due date for filing GSTR-1. Notification in circulation is fake.

The last date for filing of GSTR-1 for quarter July-Sep, 2017 (taxpayers having turnover upto Rs. 1.5 cr) and for months Jul-Nov, 2017 (taxpayers having turnover above Rs. 1.5 cr) is today, i.e. 10-Jan-2018. However there is a fake notification circulating in social media which is claiming that dates have been extended.

However the Official twitter handle of the GoI for queries on GST has clarified that there is no extension of GSTR-I. and notification circulated in social media is fake
