No.25-CA(75)/2002 & 29-CA/Law/D-259/2017.— In exercise of powers conferred under Section 20(2) of the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949 and in terms of provisions of Regulation 18 of the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988, it is hereby notified that CA. Subodh Gupta Chartered Accountant, 301-302, G K House, 187-A, Sant Nagar, East of Kailash, New Delhi- 110065 (M.No. 071752) has been held guilty by the Council of Chartered Accountants of India of Professional Misconduct falling within the meaning of Clause (11) of Part I of First Schedule to the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949 read with Sections 21 and 22 of the said Act. In respect of the aforesaid misconduct, the Council of Institute [at its 306th meeting held on 8th June, 2011], after affording an opportunity of hearing under section 21(4) of the said Act to the said Shri Subodh Gupta, has ordered that his name be removed from the Register of Members for a period of six (6) months. In pursuance of above decision of the Council and Order dated 17.03.2016 of High Court of Delhi passed in Chat.A.C. 5/2012, Subodh Gupta Vs. ICAI, it is hereby notified that the name of said Shri Subodh Gupta (Membership No.071752) shall stand removed from the Register of Members for a period of six (6) months i.e. from 01.08.2017 to 31.01.2018.

Further, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of Section 20 of The Chartered Accountants Act, 1949 read with Regulation 18 of the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988, it is hereby notified by the Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India that the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi has, in pursuance of Section 21(6)(c) of the said Act, in Chartered Accountants Reference Case No.2/2010, ordered on 16th February, 2017 that the name of Shri Subodh Gupta, Chartered Accountant, 301-302, G K House, 187-A, Sant Nagar, East of Kailash, New Delhi- 110065 (M.No.071752) be removed from the Register of Members for a period of two years for having been found guilty of “Other Misconduct” under Section 22 read with Section 21 of the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949. Accordingly, it is hereby notified that the name of the said Shri Subodh Gupta shall stand removed from the Register of Members for a further period of two years w.e.f. 01.02.2018 to 31.01.2020 also in pursuant to the Court Order in Chartered Accountants Reference Case No.2/2010.
