ICAI reschedules CA exams due to Nivar cyclone in some cities in Tamil Nadu & Puducherry
In view of heavy rains due to Nivar cyclone and consequent disruption of normal life in some cities in the State of Tamil Naduand Puducherry (U.T), ICAI has rescheduled the following CA exams:
(i) Chartered Accountants Intermediate (Integrated Professional Competence) Examination (Group I), Paper –2,
(ii) Business Laws, Ethics and Communication & Intermediate Examination (Group I), Paper –2,
(iii) Corporate and Other Law sand Final (Old) Examination (Group I), Paper –3 & Final (New) Examination (Group I) Paper –3,
(iv) Advanced Auditing and Professional Ethics
the above exams were scheduled to be held on 24th & 25th November 2020, in Chennai, Cuddalore, Kancheepuram, Karaikudi, Kumbakonam, Nagapattinam, Pudukkottai, Tiruvallur & Villupuramand Puducherry (U.T) .
The rescheduled Intermediate & IPC Examination shall be held on 9th December, 2020 and the Final (Old & New) Examination shall be held on 11th December, 2020 for the above centres only at the same time.
The State Government of Tamil Nadu declared 26th November 2020 as a public holiday due to expected land fall of Cyclone “Nivar” in the coastal areas of Tamil Nadu.
In view of the above, the following CA Exams scheduled to be held on 26th November 2020, in the State of Tamil Nadu (Chennai, Cuddalore, Kancheepuram, Kumbakonam, Nagapattinam, Tiruvallur, Tiruvannamalai, Vellore & Villupuram) and Puducherry (U.T) have been rescheduled to be held on 12th December, 2020 at the same venue(s) and timings i.e. 2 PM to 5 PM (IST)
(i) Chartered Accountants Intermediate (IPC) Examination (Group I), Paper –3,
(ii) Cost Accounting and Financial Management & Intermediate Examination (Group I) Paper –3,
(iii) Cost and Management Accounting
Admit Cards already issued would remain valid for the rescheduled date.
It has been clarified that the schedule of examinations notified vide Notification No.13-CA(Exam)/N/2020 dated 21st August 2020 in respect of all other cities shall remain unchanged.
