The Income Declaration Scheme. 2016 incorporated as Chapter IX of the Finance Act, 2016 is closing on 30th September, 2016.
A Copy of the press note on the subject, which is being issued today, is enclosed. The same may be translated into local language and released through the local PIB office and local language press on the last two days i.e. 29th & 30th September, 2016.
Arrangements for its impending release may be made in your office and the local PIB unit should be accordingly briefed.

Sub: CBDT Extends working Hours on 30th September, 2016 tor IDS Declarations -reg
The Income Declaration Scheme, 2016 came into effect from 1st June, 2016. It provides an opportunity to persons who have not paid full taxes in the past to come forward and declare their undisclosed income and assets.
Declarations can be made online as well in printed copies of the prescribed form up to midnight on 30th September, 2016.
In order to facilitate the declarants who would like to file the declaration in paper form, the CBDT has issued instructions to all Principal Chief Commissioners of Income Tax across India to ensure that arrangements are made for receiving such declarations till midnight of 30-09·2016.
Accordingly, the counters for receiving declaration under the Income Declaration Scheme – 2016 shall be functional till 12:00 midnight on 30th September, 2016.
