OPERATIVE ORDER

(i) RULE;

(ii) The Respondent No.2 i.e. CBDT is directed to forthwith issue the order/ notification under Section 119 of the Income Tax Act and extend the due date for E¬filing of the Income Tax Returns in respect of the assessee who are required to file return of income by 30th September, 2015 to 31st October,2015;

(iii) It is made clear that at this stage we have not opined any other issue except to the extent of the aforesaid directions. It is madeclear that this order will not affect any other obligation that may arise under the Act

Writ Petition Appeals for Tax Audit/ITRs Due Date Extension have been filed in Bombay High Court by the Chamber of tax Consultants, Bombay. The case is now listed for admission today on 23-09-2015. Though the case is listed for admission, the petition shall press for the hearing also.
