As many of you might not be aware that Java 7 Update 51, has enhanced security features. The new version of Java does not allow users to run the applications that are not signed (Unsigned), Self signed (not signed by trusted authority) and the applications that are missing permission attributes
It might so happen that while uploading ITRs or Forms at incometaxindiaefiling website or mca.gov.in you might get java applet error messages as
Followed by the above two messages, the ITR/e-Forms upload window can display error in loading of Java Applet in the browser and display error in red as per the following figure(incometax efiling site)
If you are getting the above error message, this is due to the fact that Java is getting blocked because the developer has not met with the security guidelines implemented in Java 7 Update51.
However, the error can be resolved by using Exception Site list feature to run the applications blocked by security settings. By adding the URL of the blocked application to the Exception Site list allows it to run with some warnings.
The following steps are required to resolve the above:
1. Go to the Java Control Panel
2. In Java Control Panel Click on the Security tab
4. Click the Add in the Exception Site List window and Add 07-02-2014 | CA Ashutosh Lohani
5. Click Ok, and then click Apply and finally OK. |
