MCA establishes Chartered Accountants Election Tribunal

MCA constitutes Chartered Accountants Election Tribunal to decide disputes in the matter of election to the Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, held in December, 2024

New Delhi, the 17th April, 2025

G.S.R. 238(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 10B of the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949 (38 of 1949) and in pursuance of rule 3 of the Chartered Accountants (Election Tribunal) Rules, 2006, the Central Government hereby establishes a Tribunal consisting of the following persons to decide disputes as referred to under section 10A of the said Act in the matter of election to the Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, held in December, 2024, namely:-

(i) Ms. Anju Rathi Rana, Secretary, Ministry of Law and Justice, Department of Legal Affairs, Shastri Bhawan, New Delhi- 110001 Presiding Officer; 
(ii) Ms. S Meenakshi, Official Liquidator, Room No. 321, Khurshid Lal Bhawan, Janpath, New Delhi-110001 Member
(iii) Shri Sanjay Shorey, – Director General of Corporate Affairs, Kota House Annexe, 1, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi-110011 Member

2. This notification shall come into force from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.

G.S.R. 235(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 10B of the Cost Accountants Act, 1959 (23 of 1959), and in pursuance of rule 3 of the Cost and Works Accountants (Election Tribunal) Rules, 2006, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendment further to amend the notification of the Government of India, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i), vide number G.S.R. 787 (E), dated the 15th October, 2015, namely:- In the said notification, for serial number (ii) and the entries relating thereto, the following serial number and entries shall be substituted, namely:-

(ii) Shri Manoj Kumar Sahu, Director (Inspection and Investigation), O/o Director General of Corporate Affairs, Kota House Annexe, 1, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi-110011. Member

2. This notification shall come into force from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
