RBI launches nationwide RBI90Quiz for undergraduate students. Final Prize is Rs. 10 Lakhs

RBI has launched RBI90Quiz for undergraduate students who are not more than 25 years of age and pursuing bachelor’s degree.

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on the occasion of 90th Anniversary has announced launch of the RBI90Quiz for college students at the undergraduate level. The quiz is a nationwide competition being held as part of the events to commemorate 90 years of RBI’s functioning. 

RBI90Quiz is general knowledge based and will feature a multi-level competition, commencing with an online phase, followed by state and zonal level rounds and culminating in a national final.

Launching the RBI90Quiz online platform on August 20, 2024, Governor Shri Shaktikanta Das, expressed confidence that the contest would help create greater awareness about the Reserve Bank and the financial eco system among the students. He further added that RBI has been encouraging the youth to cultivate responsible financial behaviour and develop the habit of safe and secure usage of digital financial products through its public awareness campaigns.

Who can Participate in the Quiz?

The RBI90Quiz is open to undergraduate students who are not more than 25 years of age on September 1, 2024 (i.e., those born on or after September 01, 1999) and pursuing bachelor’s degree across any stream of study through colleges located in India.

These dates are subject to change at the discretion of RBI.

The online quiz will consist of multiple-choice questions covering various topics related to general knowledge such as current affairs, history, literature, sports, economy, finance, trivia etc. Questions related to RBI will also be included. The quiz will have 36 questions. Participants will have maximum of 15 minutes to complete the online quiz, with each question having a time limit of 25 seconds. Teams with visually impaired students will be granted additional 25 seconds per question (total quiz time for visually impaired students will be 30 minutes). The quiz will be scored automatically based on the number of correct answers. There are no penalties for incorrect answers. Your team’s score and timing will be displayed immediately after completion. The selected list of teams will receive a call/sms/email regarding the confirmation of their selection and the students will then be required to undergo verification of their credentials provided at the time of registration.

The quiz will be held in four stages

1. Countrywide online contest – Students take MCQ format quiz in teams of two. Multiple teams from a college can participate.

2. State Level round – Teams which qualify through the online contest will compete in an in-person quiz to decide the State level winning teams.

3. Zonal Level round – State level winners face off at Zonal levels-five different zones

4. National Final round – Five Zonal winners will compete for the top prizes in the final contest.
