If you have incorporated a new company or have been appointed a new director then in all probabilities you might receive a VP Parcel (VPP) at the address mentioned in the e-forms filed with Registrar of Companies. First, the timing of this VPP is within one to two weeks so that the gullible recipient more often than not mistakes it as some important documents from some authority and feel under some obligation to pay for it. Secondly the VPP is generally for an amount not exceeding Rs. 500/- so that the recipient is not strained much and might pay out of curiosity and confusion. This practice is in vogue since a long time and no doubt, some active role of the Staff at RoC office can-not be ruled out.
