Prevention of WannaCry Ransomware Threat

The ransomware attack began on Friday, 12th May, 2017 afternoon. Since it was discovery, the WannaCry ransomware attack has affected over 10,000 organizations and 200,000 individuals in over 150 countries, Worldwide including India.

The Government of India, in view of high damage potential of the ransomware a webcast has been arranged to create awareness among users/organisations. The webcast on the topic “Prevention of WannaCry Ransomware Threat – session by CERT-In” has been broadcast on on 15th May 2017.
