Empanelment of Expert Mediator-Conciliator at MCA Regional Director North-west, Western, South-east, Western and Northern Region. Last Date 08-11-2016
The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has empowered the Regional Directors to prepare and maintain/update a Mediation and Conciliation Panel of eligible experts in pursuance of Rule 3(1) of Section 442 of the Companies Act, 2013 who are willing to be appointed as mediator or conciliator in their Region.
The panel shall be placed on the website by MCA until any other website is notified as prescribed under Rule 3(1) of the Companies (Mediation and Conciliation) Rules, 2016 (M&C Rules).
The mediator or conciliator included in the Panel with a region may provide relevant services for parties in any other region as well, as may be allowed by the Central Government or Tribunal (Company Law Tribunal or Appellate Tribunal) under the M&C Rules.
The expert willing to be empanelled as Mediators or Conciliators must possess qualifications prescribed under M&C Rules. Among others, Chartered Accountants, Cost Accountants and Company Secretaries with at least fifteen years of continuous practice are eligible for empanelment.
Till date, the following Regional Directors have invited applications for emapnelment of Experts as Mediators or Conciliators.
The application for empanelment can be forwarded physically or through e- mail I.D. of the concerned Regional Director (RD). The Applications should be in prescribed form no. MDC-1.
