Daily Release of Electronic Payment Systems Data from RBI

The Reserve Bank of India today released provisional data for the month of November 2016 for select payment systems. The data on credit/debit cards usage and pre-paid payment instruments are representative in nature as they are sourced from some of the major participants only.

Effective December 2, 2016, the data would be released on a daily basis till December 31, 2016 with a lag of one day.

It may be mentioned that the Payment System Indicators are released on a monthly basis and are a part of the RBI Bulletin https://www.rbi.org.in/Scripts/BS_ViewBulletin.aspx?Id=16609.
