New Delhi, the 18th May, 2016

(E)-In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 1 of the Companies Act, 2013 (18 of 2013), the Central Government hereby appoints the 18th day of May, 2016 as the date on which the provisions of clause (iv) of sub-section (29) of section 2, sections 435 to 438 (both sections inclusive) and section 440 of the said Act shall come into force.

Note:
Section 435 of the Companies Act, 2013 provides that the Central Government may, for the purpose of providing speedy trial of offences under the Act, establish or designate Special Courts. The Government has already notified the list of designated Courts u/s 435.
