MINISTRY OF CORPORATE AFFAIRSNOTIFICATIONNew Delhi, the26th May, 2020G.S.R. 311(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by clauses (f) and (g) of sub–section (2) of section29A, read with Section 28C and Sub–section (1) of section 28D of the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949 (38 of 1949), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules to amend the Chartered Accountants Procedure of Meetings of Quality Review Board, and Terms and Conditions of Service and allowances of the Chairperson and members of the Board Rules, 2006, namely:–1.Short title and commencement.–(1) These rules may be called the Chartered Accountants Procedure of Meetings of Quality Review Board, and Terms and Conditions of Service and allowances of the Chairperson and members of the Board (Amendment) Rules, 2020.(2),They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.2.In the Chartered Accountants Procedure of Meetings of Quality Review Board, and Terms and Conditions of Service and allowances of the Chairperson and members of the Board Rules, 2006, in sub–rule 8, for sub–rule (1), the following sub–rule shall be substituted namely:–“(1)The tenure of the Chairperson and the Members of the Board shall be three years”.[F.No.1/15/2010–PI (Vol.II)]MANOJ PANDEY, Jt.Secy.Note:The principal rules were published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part–II, Section 3, Sub–Section (i) videnotification number GSR 735(E), dated the 27th November, 2006 and subsequently amended videnotification numbers G.S.R. 152(E), dated the 5th March, 2009, G.S.R. 8(E), dated the 10th January, 2012, G.S.R. 32(E), dated the 16th January, 2014 and G.S.R. 148(E), dated the 08th February, 2016a
