No linking of Aadhaar to property records. Letter in circulation fake says Government. Earlier a letter of Cabinet Secretariat was on social media in this regard

CLARIFICATION
The letter attributed to Cabinet Secretariat on Digitalisation of Land Records & subsequent linking of the same to AADHAR, being widely circulated in the sections of social media is completely fake and mischievous. It is clarified that Govt. of India has issued no such letter. A police complaint has been filed in this regard and the matter is being investigated.

Author’s Note:
The said fake letter was very much in public circulation on social media. According to which, all Chief Secretaies of the State Government/UTs were directed to complete the digitization of land records, mutation records, sales and purchase recordsfrom year 1950 of any immovable property including agricultural/non-agricultural land and independent/society houses. 
As per the said fake letter, the Union Government is considering linking  of aadhaar numbers to the ownership of all the said properties and digitization was to be completed latest by 14th August, 2017.
