Unregistered dealers downloading e-way bill but had not opted for e-sancharan in VAT regime to be investigated in Uttar Pradesh
Uttar Pradesh Government vide circular dated 09/08/2017 has specified the procedure for downloading of online e-way bill during transportation of goods in UP by unregistered persons.
The UP Commercial Department has made a comparative analysis of the registered dealers in VAT regime with those migrated into GST and downloading e-way bills.
The analysis has revealed that many dealers, who, in past, had not applied for e-sancharan (e-sancharan was compulsory for dealers with turnover greater than 50 Lacks from 01-06-2015), however under GST regime, they have obtained online registration for downloading e-way bills and are purchasing goods out of the State.
The information related to such persons have been made available to officials concerned to investigation and informing mobile squad in this regard.
