Be an expert on the panel of Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP) of NITI Aayog

The National Institution for Transforming India (NITI) Aayog has launched Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP) on the occasion of International Women day ie 8th March, 2018 with the motive to bring together women from different parts of India to realize their entrepreneurial aspirations. 

The goal of the initiative is to build vibrant ecosystem for women across the country to help realize their entrepreneurial aspirations, power these and address to the bottlenecks through a network of industry collaborations, partnerships, mentors and peer-to-peer connect. It will encourage entrepreneurs to share their entrepreneurial journeys, stories & experiences to nurture mutual learning. 

We are pleased to inform that ICAI is one of the partners for this initiative. The other partners are SIDBI, Crisil Limited, NASSCOM, Mann Deshi Foundation, Wee Foundation, Dice Districts, Facebook India, Digital Leadership Institute, ShopClues.com, United Nations, FICCI, GEN India, CII, Content Pixies, Finsafe India, Lee Keshav, ALC India. 

ICAI has a huge network and with the expertise its members possess, had the privilege of working with various government constituents on various initiatives. ICAI and its members are always willing to coordinate and support the Govt. bodies in terms of training, knowledge dissemination, awareness and publicity to have a financial strong and inclusive nation. Given our track-record as a partner in nation building, we all should contribute our individual as well as collective might to make this initiative a grand success. 

In the said venture, ICAI will provide a panel of Chartered Accountants across the country who will volunteer to offer their services to ensure that such entrepreneurs fulfill various statutory compliances such as related to ROC, Taxation, Audit and Regulatory Assessment of business under different acts of law etc., on Pro Bono basis. ICAI will provide state-wise experts for efficient support at a hyper local level who would be functioning as per the guidelines issued by NITI Aayog from time to time. 

All Practicing Chartered Accountants are requested to volunteer themselves as experts for above panel on Pro Bono basis. Interested members may fill the acceptance form and submit a scan / hard copy duly signed at email wepniti@icai.in. The members may note that though these services would be given on pro-bono basis, but the assignments are to be conducted as per all applicable Accounting and Auditing Standards/Guidance Notes/Technical Guides and statutes. 

The panel so shortlisted will be shared to NITI Aayog and they will be hosting it on their website.
