Do not visit CBDT Office for transfers and postings. Income Tax Officers have been advised to forward their request to Data Base Cell only

CBDT in its recent office memorandum has impressed upon the Income Tax Officers not to visit CBDT office in connection with transfer and postings.

According to CBDT,  it has been observed that a number of IRS officers have been visiting North Block for having personal audience with Members/Chairman in connection with their requests for transfers and postings.

CBDT has reiterated that any request in connection with transfers and postings should be made online to Data Base Cell only.

CBDT has advised all officers to make their requests, if any, regarding transfers and postings online to Data Base Cell only which will be considered by the Placement Committee as per the TP Guidelines and personal visits to CBDT in connection with transfers and postings must be avoided.
