Its easy to file Income Tax Return in Form No. 1 SAHAJ

Income Tax Department has issued an advisory promoting Income Tax Return SAHAJ and advised taxpayers not to wait till 31st July to file their return of income.

Persons who can file ITR in SAHAJ?

  • lndividuals having Income upto Rs. 50 lolchs from salary/single house property/other income (interest etc.) can file income tax return on one page ITR Form No.1 SAHAJ quickly and easily by following these simple steps ……

(i) Log on to your e·filing account on www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in

(ii) Select ITR-1 and fill in the requisite details

(iii) Calculate tax automatically online

(iv) Pay balance tax payment (if any) 

(v) Upload end verify online

  • Only the following persons have the option to file return in paper form:

(i) An Individual of the gae of 80 years or more at any time during the previous year.

(ii) An Individual or HUF whose income does not exceed Rs. 5 lakhs and who has not claimed any refund in the return of income.
