Verification of demonetized data till 30-06-2018-CBDT.

In its Central Action Plan (CAP) for the First Quarter i.e. (April, 2018 to June, 2018), CBDT has specified verification of Non-PAN/demonetized data/other high value data as Key Result Areas (KRA). As per CAP, 100% verification of data pending as on 01.04.2018 (including demonetization data as well as data from earlier verifications of high value transactions) is to be completed till 30th June, 2018.

Apart from above, the following other important Key Result Areas has been specified along with the time frame for completion.

Collection of 100% demand as on 01.04.2018 in cases where TDS has been made but not deposited in the Govt. account. 30.06.2018
Examination of top 30 cases of TDS short payment with unconsumed challans 30.06.2018
Processing of the TDS/TCS defaults for prosecution u/s 276B/276BB in 10 cases already identified during FY 2017-18 & 2016-17 by CPC-TDS or manually by respective CIT(TDS) 30.06.2018
Identification of potential defaulters for taking appropriate action u/s 285BA (5) for non furnishing SFT and issue of notice  31.05.2018
Issue penalty notices u/s 271FA and levy penalty u/s 271FA in 30% cases of SFT non-filers 30.06.2018
