New Delhi, 8 July, 2020
 
S.O. 2282(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (5) and (6) of section 125 of the Companies Act, 2013 (18 of 2013) read with rules 5 and 7 of the Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority (Appointment of Chairperson and Members, holding of meetings and provision for offices and officers) Rules, 2016 (herein after referred to as the said rules), the Central Government hereby appoints the person at serial number 1 as Chairperson and the persons at serial numbers 2 and 5 to 7 as Members to the Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority with effect from the date of publication of this notification and for that purpose, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii) vide number S.O. 3756(E) dated the 28th November, 2017 namely:-
 
In the said notification,-(i)for serial number 1, 2 and 5 to 7 the entries relating thereto, the following serial numbers and entries shall be substituted, namely:-

(ii) for paragraph 2, the following paragraph shall be substituted, namely:-
 
“2.The term of office of members at serial numbers 4 to 7 shall be governed by rule 8 of the Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority (Appointment of Chairperson and Members, holding of meetings and provision for offices and officers) Rules, 2016 and they shall be entitled for reimbursement of actual expenditure incurred for attending the meetings as per the provisions of sub-rule (10) of rule 11 of the said rules.”
