Aadhaar OTP for e-verification of income tax return has resumed. It was temporarily unavailable previously

Earlier, the Aadhaar based OPT EVC option had not been appearing in income tax e-filing website which baffled many.

As per Income Tax e-filing website advisory, due to technical issues, Aadhaar OTP for e-verification is temporarily unavailable. It will be enabled shortly.

The taxpayer have been advised to use the other options (net banking, demat a/c, atm etc. to e-Verify the Returns.

It has been further stated that e-Verification can be done upto 120 days from filing of ITR so the Aadhaar OTP option can be exercised as soon as it is enabled.

Till then Return can be e-Verified using Net Banking, Pre-Validated Bank Account and Pre-Validated Demat Account
