ITD has become more technology driven and taxpayer friendly organisation committed to collect the revenue while not losing sight of the citizen-centric initiatives – says CBDT Outgoing Chairman

In a message, Shri Sushil Chandra, outgoing Chairman, CBDT has expressed thanks to Income Tax Family for their support and said that he felt honour for being the head of this Department which works with such professionalism and efficiency.

The outgoing chairman who demitted the office today to take up the charge of the Election Commission of India, expressed satisfaction with his long and challenging journey.

He also expressed pride and stated that the Income Tax Department had taken giant leaps in becoming a more technology driven and taxpayer friendly organisation , committed to collect the revenue expected, while not losing sight of the citizen-centric initiatives that has been  the cornerstone of the Board’s administration.

He expressed his best wishes to see the Department rise to more greater heights in days to come under the stewardship of the new CBDT Chairman
