S.O. 2282(E).—In pursuance of the provisions of Section 12 of the Presidential and Vice-Presidential Elections Act, 1952 (31 of 1952), the following declaration containing the name of the person elected to the Office of the President of India is published for general information:—
“DECLARATION
In pursuance of the provisions contained in Section 11 of the Presidential and Vice-Presidential Elections Act, 1952 (31 of 1952) read with rule 35 of the Presidential and Vice-Presidential Elections Rules, 1974, I, Anoop Mishra, the Returning Officer for the Presidential Election, 2017, hereby declare that Shri Ramnath Kovind, resident of 42, HIG Maharishi Dayanand Vihar, Phase-2, Kalyanpur, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, has been duly elected to the Office of President of India.
