List of CBI Anti-corruption Branches in India with territorial jurisdiction and telephone numbers-Income Tax, Excise, Custom ED to install display boards
CBI has recently asked Revenue Secretary, Government of India to display message regarding contact details of CBI offices in case of demand of bribe. It has been asked to display the message in Hindi/local language and English in black colour on yellow background which may be painted at prominent public places in all the Government offices of Income Tax, Customs & Central Excise, Enforcement Directorate etc. across the country.
According to the CBI, this will encourage citizens facing demands of bribe to instantly report to the local CBI Anti-corruption Branches.
CBDT has already issued an office memorandum instructing income tax offices in the regard.
