Subject: Amendment in Para 2.108 (c) (iv) of Handbook of Procedure, 2015-20.
F. No. 01/93/180/28/AM-19/PC.II(B)/E-16025.—In exercise of powers conferred under paragraph 1.03 and 2.04 of the Foreign Trade Policy 2015-2020, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendments in Para 2.108 (c) (iv) of Handbook of Procedure, 2015-20:

- Appeal against ITAT shall lie only before High Court within whose jurisdiction AO is situated
- SC recommends action against Customs Officer who relied upon AI generated fake case laws
- Non- payment of cost imposed can’t trigger automatic confirmation of an invalid exparte assessment.
- Non-deduction of TDS does not make transaction as unexplained in the hands of deductee – ITAT
- Last date to submit MEF 2026-27 extended to 09.09.2026
