ICAI plans to launch certification / Post qualification course in Forensic Investigation.
ICAI may soon launch its certification / diploma course on “Forensic Investigation” for Chartered Accountants.
As per Regulation No. 204 of Chartered Accountants Regulations 1988, the Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India is authorised to impart or arrange to impart practical and/or theoretical training and hold examinations in such subjects as it may consider useful for members.
As of now the Council has also been empowered to award certificate or diplomas in connection with the post qualification courses in Management Accountancy, Corporate Management, Tax Management, Information Systems Audit, Insurance and Risk Management, International Trade Laws and World Trade Organisation, International Taxation and Management and Business Finance.
As per the Notification No. No.1-CA(7)/227/2025 dated 28.06.2025, the ICAI has issued a draft regulation to amend the CA Regulations 1988 namely, the Chartered Accountants (First Amendment) Regulations, 2025.
The draft regulation proposes to amend the said Regulation no. 204 to add subject “Forensic Investigation” to empower the Council of ICAI to award certificate or diplomas Forensic Investigation to ICAI members in connection with post qualification courses.
