Income-tax e-nivaran form for online grievances lodging -Step by Step Procedures

Income-tax e-nivaran

Income Tax Department has launched income-tax e-nivaran form for online lodging and disposal of grievances related to Assessing Officers, CPC-TDS/ITR, e-filing website team, NSDL, SBI refund Banker and Directorate of Systems.

Matters not covered under e-Nivaran
List of subject/topics  which are not treated as “Grievances” for e-Nivaran are as under:

RTI matters
Court related/subjudice matters
Religious matters
Grievance against foreign government
Suggestions
Grievances of Government employees concerning their services including disciplinary proceedings etc. unless the aggrieved employee has already entrusted the prescribed channels keeping in view the DoPT OM No. 11013/08/2013-Estt. (A-III) dated 31.08.2015

The income-tax e-nivaran form can be accessed after logging to the e-filing account. The step-by-step process involved in lodging an online complaint/grievance are as under:

1. Login to the income tax e-filing account

2. Click on e-Nivaran tab at the extreme left on menu bar

3. To lodge a fresh grievance click on Submit Grievance, to check the status of your complaint, click on Grievance Status

4. The income-tax e-Nivaran form has been divided into three parts.

(A) Personal Details:
Income-tax e-nivaran

The personal details are auto filled and if any change is required, it can be done through Profile Settings >> My Profile.

(B) Grievance Details:Income-tax e-nivaran

Grievance has to selected by specifying:

  • Resolution Sought From – To see details scroll down
  • Grievance category – To see details scroll down
  • Grievance Sub-category – To see details scroll down

Select Assessment Year in case of PAN or Financial Year in case of TAN

Attach copies of the relevant documents as specified. Please note that only pdf documents are allowed which should be in zipped format and size should not exceed 5 MB.

(C) Write Grievance Description in short (3000 character provided)

5. Click on Preview and Submit Form

6. In the preview, Check for any errors and if no errors is noticed click “Submit”

7. On successful submission the following acknowledgement message shall be displayed

6. Downlaod the submitted e-Nivaran Form which contains all the details of the grievance submitted along with Acknowledgement No. and Grievance UID
