Mr. Suresh Chandra Shrimali, Co-Chairman, Bar Council of India presided over the meeting of the General Council of the Bar Council of India held on 2nd March, 2025 for the elections for the posts of Chairman and Vice-Chairman, Bar Council of India.

Mr. Manan Kumar Mishra, Senior Advocate, Member, Bar Council of India was unanimously elected as the Chairman of the Bar Council of India for the tenure with effect from 17th April, 2025 to 16th April, 2030.
Election for the post of Vice-Chairman, Bar Council of India
Resolution
Mr. S. Prabakaran, Senior Advocate, Member, Bar Council of India was unanimously elected as the Vice-Chairman of the Bar Council of India for the said tenure with effect from 17th April, 2025.
