Airports Authority of India (AAI) has issued directions to the respective Car Parking Licensees across all AAI controlled airports for evolving a mechanism of e-payment transactions in the form of Debit/Credit Cards, Digital Wallets (PayTM, Freecharge, Mobikwik, Reliance Jio etc.) and also keep sufficient change of currency in small denomination of Rs.10, 20, 50 & 100 to smoothen the process of parking at all airports. Besides Car Parking Licensees, AAI is evolving a mechanism so that digital payment alternatives through various modes is available at all concessions providing passenger facilitation services at airports (such as Food & Beverage Outlets, General Retails, Car Rentals, Pre-paid Taxi Services etc.

Airports Authority of India (AAI) commences e-payment transactions for accepting Car Parking charges at all AAI airports from 29th November, 2016 (00:01 Hrs.) in support of digital payment campaign of Govt. of India.
New Delhi, 27th November, 2016:
Free of cost car parking services provided by AAI with effect from the midnight of 14th November, 2016, will end on the midnight of 28th November, 2016 at all operational airports.
In the wake of demonetization of 500 & 1000 notes, AAI, in support of Govt. of India’s digital payment campaign and for facilitating air travelers & airport users, has evolved Digital Payment Mechanism at its all operational airports and commences accepting Car Parking Charges through e-payment transactions using Debit/Credit Cards, mobile wallets and other digital payment methods with effect from the midnight of 28th November, 2016.
Now, with effect from 29th November, 2016 (00:01 Hrs.), AAI resumes charges/fee for car parking through e-payment transactions at all its operational airports across the nation.
