Delhi High Court in a recently delivered judgment has observed that that all does not appear to be well with the admission process of the National Law University, Delhi in admission to Ph.D. programme. The Court had issued a direction to the University to rectify/reconsider the admission criteria before commencement of the admissions to the Ph.D. programme in the year 2016 so as to rule out the possibility of officials of the University involved in the admission process granting admission at their desire but admissions are granted strictly as per declared criteria.
The judgment was delivered on 19/04/2016 while disposing off writ petition 7582/2012 in the case of Amita Agarwal vs. National Lw University & Ors whereby the petitioner had challenged her non admission in Ph.D.
